about us
REGGAEVIBES FESTIVAL
From its very first edition, ReggaeVibes has evolved into a major cultural institution in Crete — especially in Agios Nikolaos — attracting thousands of visitors from across Greece and abroad. It’s not just a music event — it’s a meeting point for everyone who loves music and dance.
Hosted on the stunningly beautiful Almyros Beach in Agios Nikolaos, the festival has made this magical place its home since 2008.
Artists Who Have Graced the ReggaeVibes Stage
The festival has always been more than just a lineup — it’s a musical journey with legends at the forefront.
A night etched into memory: the evening when The Wailers — the band of Bob Marley — performed live by the sea.
The Wailers in Agios Nikolaos
A name. A band. A symbol.
Their set was filled with memory, emotion, and power. “Redemption Song,” “One Love,” “No Woman No Cry” — these weren’t just songs that night, they were living memories. Agios Nikolaos sang as one, and ReggaeVibes became part of the city’s history.
Dreadzone – Electronic Vision with a Reggae Heart
One of the festival’s standout moments: the appearance of the legendary British group Dreadzone — masters of fusing dub, reggae, breakbeats, and electronic energy.
With the hypnotic voice of EARL-16 leading the way, their set became a ritual of rhythm, with the crowd dancing barefoot on the sand until dawn. Their sound — cinematic, revolutionary, profound — elevated ReggaeVibes to another dimension. Those who were there remember. Those who weren’t… now have a reason to come.

The Living Legends of Dub Sound:
- Mad Professor (UK) – The undisputed father of digital dub, delivering cosmic echoes and history lessons in every set.
- Don Letts (UK) – the legend who brought the sound and image of Reggae to the world.

- Iration Steppas (UK) – “Year 3000 Dub” hit Crete — yes, it happened.
- Vibronics (UK) – Masters of steppers dub, with fierce riddims and conscious roots energy.
Voices with Soul:
- African Simba (JAM/UK) – A sacred voice of wisdom, unity, and respect.
- Sister Audrey (UK) – A powerful female presence in UK dub, full of love and strength.
- Brother Culture (UK) – One of the festival’s most beloved MCs, spitting fire with every lyric.
- EARL-16 (Dreadzone) – A voice that transports you to higher ground.

Artistic Direction: Professor Skank
The artistic identity of ReggaeVibes Festival is no accident.
Behind it stands a man with deep roots in reggae and dub culture, with international experience and unrelenting passion for music and his homeland.
Professor Skank, a Crete-based dub reggae producer recognized across Europe, has been the festival’s artistic director from day one. With appearances at major festivals, collaborations with top global reggae and dub artists, and a distinct sound known worldwide, he combines deep industry knowledge with a love for his land and music that unites.
Thanks to him, the festival hosts both legends and rising stars from the global scene. It remains faithful to the Dub & Reggae sound and the message of unity.

This year, we reunite.
We’ll dance together again, on the sand until morning…
Locals of Agios Nikolaos, visitors, old and new friends —
Together with international artists who’ve written their own chapters in the global Dub and Reggae scene.
And all of us — one big family — will live an unforgettable experience.

💛 Social Responsibility – A Festival That Gives Back
ReggaeVibes is built not only on music, but also on solidarity, respect, and support for the community.
Every year, with great honor, it’s announced that a portion of festival proceeds is donated to the local organization “Friends of Parents of People with Disabilities of Agios Nikolaos”, which supports individuals with special needs in the region.
This initiative strengthens social cohesion, supports families in need and turns ReggaeVibes into a true platform of social awareness — not just a music event.
